The Good Ol 90's

Okay so I know I am not the only one who misses the 90's. The other day I was thinking of the music, television and movies. Some of my favorite tv shows and movies are from the 90's.
If you look at some of the shows from then and look at them now, a lot of them are crap.

Look at Family Matters, Fresh Prince or A Different World where at the end of many episodes you learned true things about life. The issues of racism or abuse. What about the Saved By the Bell episode that talked about the issue of drugs? Shows today seem to glorify these issues and make them seem like it's a good thing. I can't think of one show today where at the end I think "Hmmm I actually feel good about myself." Nope nada. Oh what about the cartoons of today? Have you seen them? They are horrible. I don't let my kids watch a lot of them because they are stupid.  Too much shaking of booties and goofiness. Think about Hey Arnold that touched on bullying or love. The list goes on.

Don't  get me started on the music of today. A lot of today's rap is crap! Most of it talks about molly and percocet, or how many cars one has. Look at rap from the 90's. Tupac, Biggie, Bone Thugs N Harmony.  The all rapped about life growing up or how times were then.

Sigh. I miss the 90's so much. I miss the movies and wrestling. I always go back and watch movies from then or old wrestling matches thanks to the WWE Network.  The slow jams from Babyface or Aaliyah. It just saddens me now when I think about how much times have changed and I often wish I could go back and relive some parts. Since I can't I'm gonna go listen to my favorite 90's station on Pandora.

What's your favorite thing about the 90's?

My First Get Ready With Me

Welcome to my first blog post of the year! It's been a few months. Okay y'all so I finally got the courage to post my first Get Ready With Me or GRWM! After years of filming videos like these and never posting them I am proud of myself. I would always record and delete the video. I always thought I was applying something wrong or someone would comment and say "You need to do this or that". Then I realized that I'm not a makeup artist, everyone has their own method, and that's okay. There is no right or wrong way. I had a lot of fun filming this. Feel free to go and show ya girl some love and support. Until next time!

That Five Year Mark

Five years ago today, I was at work, having a regular day. I see an officer come through and he comes up to me and ask am I Alicia Moore? I thought to myself "Oh crap what did I do? I did nothing wrong?" Then he told me my husband had been in an accident and I needed to come with him. All these thoughts ran through my head as I grabbed my purse and proceeded to tell my boss that I need to leave. Everything happened so fast and I remember my coworkers staring at me as I  gathered my things. I will never forget this day and the events that followed. I dread this month every year. Pray for me this month y'all. Pray for his family and coworkers too.

Slay With Kay Orange Wig Review

I purchased this wig from Trendy Kay a youtuber. I was a little nervous about getting orange hair because I usually keep things pretty simple when it comes to my hair, but thought I needed to change things up a bit. I was very please with shipping because it was super quick. The packing is really neat and cute.  I wore the hair for a week straight and the only issue I have is that there was a lot of shedding. I mean A LOT! I do like the hair though and can't wait to purchase the curly one in black when it's back in stock. Here is the website if you would like to purchase:  http://trendykay.bigcartel.com
